A virtual data ride
In my course Media Technology & Cultural Change, one of the core lessons is to think about how the way we express ideas in different media changes the ideas and the experience of communication & expression. I found a great example to highlight this lesson, linked from the Freakonomics blog: the data on housing prices plotted onto a virtual roller coaster ride. As a homeowner, the final 30 seconds of steep incline are quite terrifying indeed… Enjoy!
